We aren’t always moving people from home to home. Some days we help commercial and governmental organizations move equipment, offices and merchandise. On July 8th, Columbine Moving & Storage moved the first of nine Ticket Vending Machines (TVM) to Roaring Fork Transit Authority’s (RFTA) Rubey Park bus stop in Aspen, CO.

The new TVM Machine is an automated ticket machine.  It is one of the new improvements that RFTA is doing to enhance the bus stations in the Roaring Fork Valley.   The TVM machines will accept coins, bills, and bank cards, smart cards, and will validate previously purchased tickets. It issues tickets on paper or plastic stock. All of this has online monitoring and control from a central office over the network.

It has an extra bright color coded panels and graphics for ease of use with their 1-2-3 layout.  Besides these new TVM machines, RFTA is enhancing the bus stops throughout the Roaring Fork Valley.  Notably, per their website, they are “ordering 22 compressed natural gas buses for their VelociRFTA program which will begin in the fall of 2013”.  Riding the bus is good way to save money and save the environment.

Been working with them for our Moves in Aspen and Vail. Great company and great service.
